In addition, the Elder Justice Act will distribute $400 million for Adult Protective Services and $32.5 million to the Long-Term Care Ombudsman program. Finally, the act requires the creation of an Elder Justice Coordinating Council that will make recommendations to federal, local, state, and private agencies in order to help prevent elder abuse.
